My parents, David & Carole Hull have donated some material to the Philomath Forestry Club for their home comp that will be on Saturday, March 14, 2020. The club needed some 16 inch diameter logs that are barked and about 8-10 feet long for the cross cut and power saw buck station.
On Wednesday, February 26, 2020, Dad used the Titus Truck (his 1972 Kenworth) to haul the four logs to Hull Oakes Lumber Co where Nathan Nystrom is going to bark them for us and then set them bak on the truck so we can take them over to the school and they can buck them to length. I want to give a BIG shout OUT OF THANKS to both of my Parents, Bob Harwood of H & B Logging Co and Nathan Nystrom at Hull Oakes Lumber Co for helping out with this project. Simon Babcock and the students of PHILOMATH FORESTRY ROCK!!!!!! This is a great program and is very much worth our community's support.
These four logs came from their logging job on the company's 450 acre "Ranch" Tree Farm located one mile north of Bellfountain, Oregon just off Bellfountain Road. On this day Bob Harwood, owner of H & B Logging Co from Philomath, Oregon was using his Link Belt shovel to load Dad's truck with these special order logs for the Philomath High School's Forestry Club.
I shot this entire video using the video function on my Mac iPhone XR and edited and uploaded using iMovie on my new desktop computer. As always please enjoy, like my videos and keep checking back for more updates. Keep on Trucking.
All The Best, Cody.
