Powerful 6.2-magnitude earthquake shakes Istanbul

More than 150 people were injured as they jumped from buildings after a strong earthquake struck Istanbul on Wednesday.

Another quake, of magnitude 4.9, occurred 10 minutes later, with the epicentre off the coast of Büyükçekmece in the Sea of Marmara. Some businesses closed for the day after a wave of aftershocks rattled shoppers
