In this lesson, we'll create a Flask web app using Elastic Beanstalk, Route53, and Certificate Manager.
In this hands-on tutorial, we'll deploy an example Python web application (which comes pre-installed with Elastic Beanstalk), as well as configure an application and an environment. After deployment is complete, we'll examine our masterpiece of a program, investigate what occurred behind the scenes, and ultimately uninstall the application and environment.
What is the Amazon Elastic Beanstalk?
Elastic Beanstalk is Amazon's "platform as a service" solution, which allows you to "just write code" while Elastic Beanstalk handles all of the infrastructure setup and maintenance (EC2 instances, load balancers, auto-scaling groups, and so on).
What is Amazon Route 53?
Amazon Route 53 is a reliable and scalable Domain Name System (DNS) web service. Route 53 routes user requests to internet applications hosted on AWS or on-premises.
What is Flask?
Flask is a microweb framework developed in Python. It is characterized as a microframework since it does not require any specific tools or libraries. There is no database abstraction layer, form validation, or other components. However, just because Flask is a tiny web framework does not exclude us from building comprehensive apps with it; Flask can be used to develop any type of complicated application.
