US President Donald Trump has slammed Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar and implied she married her brother.
President Trump’s comments came following the release of his interview with Politico and host of ‘The Conversation’, Dasha Burns, on Tuesday.
Trump and Omar’s feud has intensified as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations target Somali migrants in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
During the interview, President Trump asserted he did not want “to see Somalia” before implying Omar married her brother to obtain immigration benefits.
“I want to see people that contribute. I don’t want to see Somalia. I don’t want to see a woman that, you know, marries her brother to get in and then becomes a congressman, does nothing but complain,” Trump said.
