円安で海外旅行に行く時、まず気になるのは食費と滞在費用でしょうか。せっかくアメリカに来たんだからレストランでローカルフードも食べたいし、観光もしたい！と思うのも当然のこと。しかし現在アメリカ物価高騰に加え、この急激な円安の波は海外旅行者にはかなりの痛手ではないでしょうか。。。

日本在住の国際カップルである私たちにとっても、少々深刻。コロナの状況が落ち着いてきたし、クリスマスはやっぱり家族と一緒に過ごさせてあげたいなと思いつつもこの円安傾向にげんなり。今まで1ドル110円ぐらいの感覚でしたが、2022年4月にカリフォルニアへ行ったときには1ドル124円、現在（9月末時点）143円程度まで下落しています。そこで今回の動画では、4月に旅行した時の価格をもとに現在のレートと比較し約６ヶ月の間でどれほど変動したかを比較してみました。

現地での滞在は主にニックのご実家でお世話になりましたので、小旅行に出かけた時の動画でホテルの滞在費用、外食費用、観光費等を中心にご紹介しています！価格は税込表記のもの、税抜き表記のものが混在しておりますが、ご了承くださいませ。

When traveling abroad with the weak yen, the first thing you may be concerned about is the cost of food and lodging. Since you have gone all the way to the U.S., you want to eat local food at restaurants and go sightseeing! However, the sharp depreciation of the yen, in addition to the soaring prices in the U.S., must be quite a blow to international travelers.

For us, an international couple living in Japan, it is also somewhat serious. Now that the situation in COVID-19 has calmed down, we are hoping to spend Christmas with our family, but we are still disappointed with the weak yen trend. We used to feel 110 yen to the dollar, but when we went to California in April 2022, it was 124 yen to the dollar, and now (as of the end of September) it has fallen to about 143 yen to the dollar. So in this video, we compared the current rate with the price when I traveled in April to see how much it has fluctuated over the past 6 months.

Our stay there was mainly at Nick's family, so this video is based on our excursions and focuses on the cost of hotel stays, eating out, sightseeing, etc.! Please note that the prices are a mixture of those with tax included and those without tax.
