CHALLENGING THE STATUS QUO || Spoken Word by ST. OLIVER || Christian Poetry || Mindset.

I'm not here to coddle you with comforting lies. Today, I'll challenge the philosophies and information that have been ingrained in your subconscious mind for a while now. But I promise you, if you listen with an open heart and mind, you'll experience deliverance and freedom in areas of your life where you've been held captive.

You see, The thing is that, We've been fed for a long time with motivational phrases that, although well-intentioned, have done more harm than good.
For instance:


(1). They say we should chase our dream, and that's how many end up chasing their dreams away.
Like wild horses, aspirations flee from those who pursue.
But, if i may ask, Why is your dream running from you?
Could it be that you're not yet the version of you that can host that dream?
Because Many are busy chasing, forgetting to work on themselves,
To become the canvas where their dreams can unfold.
While many are in a constant marathon with their dreams.


It's true, you don't have all the arsenals to fulfill your entire dreams at an instant. But that's not enough reason for you to be chasing shadows. Start with fragment of that dream today. Take the first step, no matter how small it seems.


The Bible says, goodness and mercy shall follow us.
Let's stop chasing what's supposed to be following us.
Instead of chasing your dream, begin to live it.
Become the dream, and let it unfold within you."



(2). They say we must leave our comfort zone for us to be successful.
In attempt to leave comfort ZONE
Many end up leaving their success ZONE
and get frustrated in a strange ZONE.


Let me tell you, leaving your comfort zone is not the cure for this deleterious disease known as indiscipline. You can turn your comfort zone to a success zone only if you can start living a discipline and a purpose driven life.


Because when I turned to
Isa.54.2 - Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; spare not; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes,
Isa.54.3 - For you will spread abroad to the right hand and to the left; and your offspring will possess the nations and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.


That's why I came to this conclusion, that instead of leaving our comfort zone, why not expand our comfort zone to accommodate our success zone. Because There's nothing wrong if we are comfortably successful.


(3). They say we should prepare and wait for opportunity. A mantra that echoes through young and old.
But is it truth or just a clever guise?
A phrase that fuels our fears, our doubts, our compromise, even though we're not aware?

I've seen lives languish, lost and forlorn,
waiting for that one and only opportunity.
I've witnessed dreams deferred, hopes dashed on the floor,
as people wait for opportunity's elusive door.

Remember, we can't expect the kingdom of God to come and His will be done in a territory that most of the opportunities and systems are created by the enemies of God since we can't have control over it.

The last time i checked, God created us in His image after His likeness as co-creators. Then why are we turning ourselves into waiters and waitresses as though the life we are living in is a restaurant.

So I'm here to challenge you today. Stop waiting for that opportunity, rise up and create some.

In conclusion:
Have you ever felt the weight of unanswered prayers. It seems as though our prayers and fasting for our leaders, government, and our economy had a meeting with silence.

Or could it be that our world is saturated with evil today as the result of God's answers to our prayers for opportunities.

Perhaps God is no longer waiting for us to pray for change, but for us to become the change we want to see.

Therefore, i will leave you with this.

Don't just chase your dreams; live it.
