The Yi Eung-no Birthplace Memorial Hall, also known as 'The House of Yi Eung-no', is located at 61-7, Ieungnoro, Hongbuk-eup, Hongseong-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. This is where Goam Yi Eung-no, a prominent figure in modern and contemporary Korean art, was born and spent his childhood.
The memorial hall consists of facilities such as an exhibition hall, a book cafe, and a multi-purpose room, as well as a thatched-roof birth house, an outdoor exhibition area, a lotus pond, and walking trails. It serves as a space to commemorate the artist Yi Eung-no and also as an art museum where you can glimpse his artistic world.
The operating hours are from 09:00 to 18:00 during the summer season (March to October) and from 09:00 to 17:00 during the winter season (November to February). It is closed every Monday and on Lunar New Year's Day and Korean Thanksgiving Day (Chuseok). The admission fee is 1,000 KRW for adults and 500 KRW for children, teenagers, and soldiers. Admission is free for those aged 6 and under, 65 and over, the disabled, and veterans.
While specific current exhibition information isn't readily available, it seems that various special exhibitions and programs commemorating Yi Eung-no's artistic spirit are being held. I recommend visiting in person to explore.
