Christmas Decor Tips for Your Living Room + A Seasonal Recipe for Cinnamon Rolls

Join me as I share a few tips for decorating your living room for Christmas.

Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients for Dough:
• 5 cups all-purpose flour (King Arthur used in video)
• 4 tablespoons butter (softened)
• 1/2 teaspoon salt (If you use unsalted butter, then add 1 tsp of salt.)
• 5 teaspoons active dry yeast
• 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste
• 2 large eggs (room temperature)
• 5 tablespoons organic cane sugar
• 9 ounces milk (lukewarm)
Ingredients for Filling:
• 3/4 cup organic coconut sugar (lightly packed)
• 1/2 cup organic cane sugar
• 2 tablespoons cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1 stick butter melted
• 5 tablespoons pumpkin purée
Ingredients for Glaze
• 1 and 1/2 cups powdered sugar/icing sugar
• 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste
• 8 oz. mascarpone
• 1 stick of butter
• Very small pinch of salt
Directions:
In a large bowl, gently mix together flour, salt, sugar, yeast and vanilla bean paste.
Make a well in the middle of the yeast mixture and add eggs and softened butter. Mix together with a fork (or mixing tool of your choice). Then, slowly incorporate milk until dough begins to form.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. Form dough into a ball, place into a bowl with a moist or warm towel over top and set aside in a warm area for it to rise.
The Filling
In a small bowl, mix together organic cane sugar, organic coconut sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin purée and butter. Place mixture aside.
Back to the Dough
After the first rise, roll out the dough to a large rectangle-like shape. Spread the filling mixture all over the dough.
Roll dough up from the longest side, and then begin to slice into 1 inch (pinwheel like) pieces.
Place the slices cut side up in prepared baking pan. Cover the baking dish with a clean dish towel if you'd like to offer an additional rise, if not, go ahead and pour a little heavy cream into the gaps of each cinnamon roll (About 1/8 inch high).
Bake until golden brown but still soft.
While your cinnamon buns bake, combine glaze ingredients in a small metal bowl over low heat and whisk or stir until smooth. Remove the rolls from the oven, cool slightly, and add your icing.
