Stephen Schwartz is easily my second-favorite musical theater composer next to Stephen Sondheim. Despite the enduring success of shows like "Wicked," "Pippin" and "Godspell," he has written many, many more amazing songs that languish in underproduced or completely forgotten shows. His contributions to Disney and Dreamworks are also often overlooked, particularly his score for "The Prince Of Egypt."

So, if you need something to listen to while you're driving to the movie theater (to see "Wicked: For Good"), take some time out of your day to hear me absolutely ruin some perfectly good Stephen Schwartz songs. And if, by chance, you already listened to the first part of this in 2022, the second part (which I recorded last year) starts somewhere around an hour and fifteen minutes in.
