Happiness is contagious as PaleyFest New York 2025 kicked off on November 7 with the highly anticipated Apple TV series Pluribus. Emmy Award winner Vince Gilligan (Creator, Writer, Director, Executive Producer) joined series stars Rhea Seehorn and Karolina Wydra for an in-depth conversation about the acclaimed new show. Moderated by Alan Sepinwall, the panel offered behind-the-scenes insights, discussed the challenges of filming expansive scenes with large numbers of background actors (known as “The Others” on the show), and reflected on the series’ creative inspirations—including The Twilight Zone. Gilligan also revealed the surprising origins behind the name of Seehorn’s character, Carol Sturka, while Seehorn talked about her secret language on set with Gilligan, going back to their time making Better Call Saul.
