* Update* The preferred method would be to daisy chain the comm cables and NOT go through a splitter. However it seems to work. Currently Epoch states daisy chaining more than 1 battery is not available. Operating them the way I am here is not the preferred method. You may be able to get the Cerbo GX to recognize both batteries as a single 600 amp pack by doing the following:
Usually you use BMS-CAN inputs on the Cerbo. But since the 300AH V2 cant daisy chain another way to get a second battery is to hook one batery to BMS-CAN and the second battery up to the VE- CAN port on the Cerbo GX then go to the Settings- Services- Can-Bus Profile and change the bit rate to 500Kbits/sec. I cant guarantee that and Epoch does not state that. So just be aware. I may also limit other items you want to plug into the VE-CAN.


This is just a very quick down and dirty clip going over some basics. I have gotten many questions regarding these Epoch Batteries that have Victron Comm ports and how they will interact with the The Victron systems. I will have a much more detailed video out within a week or two. But for now I just wanted to show some progress. I have Epoch batteries in my Golf Cart and have been very happy. Cant beat the price for the features and performance as well as quality. After some more bench testing, this system will be installed on the boat over winter to get ready for longer cruises next summer. Link below.
