BRAND NEW ALLOCATION | Enviro200 EVs on London Bus Route 325 (TfL Bus Changes EXPLAINED) Inc. E200s

Brand new Enviro200 EVs have entered service on London bus route 325. These are the route's new allocation. They are replacing diesel Enviro200s from 2011 and 2015 (shown later).

Route 325 runs from East Beckton Sainsbury's, To Prince Regent Station. The route runs via Beckton Triangle Retail Park, Quay Road, Newham Town Hall, Bendish Road, East Ham Station, Katherine Road, South Esk Road, Green Street, Woodgrange Road for Woodgrange Park Station, West Ham Park, Plashet Road, Kennedy Close, Plaistow Broadway, Barking Road, Newham Way, Canning Town Recreation Ground and Custom House Station.

Route 325 was operated by Arriva London until the 2nd of March 2024. The route used diesel Enviro200s from 2010. The route ran from Barking (DX) garage.

So far, 4 new Enviro200 EVs have been used on the 325. These include SEe291 (LF24ZHT), SEe292 (LF24ZHU), SEe293 (LF24ZHV) and SEe294 (LF24ZHW).

Route 325 runs every 12 to 20 minutes. The route runs daily, from 4:50 am until 1:10 am. The 325 is 8 miles (13 km) long. A full journey on the route takes 40 to 60 minutes.

The diesel Enviro200s currently used on route 325 were previously used at other garages. The YX61 plate E200s were originally allocated to route 276. They were used on the route between 2011 and 2023. The E200s also made appearances on routes 300, 376, 549, D6 and D8. Route 276 was lost to Stagecoach in 2023. The 61 plate E200s then transferred to Putney (AF) garage for route 265. They were also used on route 39 at this time. Some Enviro200s were then transferred to Merton (AL). They were used on route 200 to cover for its MetroDeckers. They were also used on routes 152, 163, 164 and 493 at that time.

Some of the YX65 plate E200s were originally allocated to route 80. They were used on the route between 2015 and 2021, And were replaced by Gemini 3 hybrid double deckers. They were then allocated to routes 163 and 164 at Merton (AL). These E200s were also used on routes 219, 485 and 493 during this time. They were then transferred to route 366 in 2023. Enviro200 EVs replaced these in late 2023, Meaning they were transferred to Putney (AF) for the 265.

Route 325 commenced operating in September 1993. The route replaced withdrawn route 278 between Prince Regent and Forest Gate. The route was run by Stagecoach from Upton Park garage with MCW Metroriders. Dennis Dart SLFs replaced the Mertoriders in 1995. In 1997, the route was rerouted via Beckton Cinema with a Sunday service introduced.

The 325's allocation was relocated to Barking (BK) garage in 1999. Brand new Plaxton Pointer 2s were also introduced. In March 2010, route 325 passed to Arriva. The route ran from Barking (DX) garage. It used new Enviro200s. In 2012, the route was diverted between Barking Road and Jenkins Lane via Highbridge Road and Fleet Road.
