Fall usually means we have plenty of baby turtles to collect from our egg box so we can release them back into nature. This season was anything but fruitful and we really began to freak out. So many nests went bad which resulted in no babies…or so we thought. Just when we were about to give up all hope, we were surprised with a beautiful clutch of baby diamondback terrapins! Join us as we collect these living gems and bring them back to the salt marsh where they belong.

But that’s not all….remember Hip and Hop, the conjoined turtle twins?? It’s time for a serious update on them! Will they really be able to survive like this?

We also take a deep dive into the incredible work being done in the responsible captive breeding sector and we’re thrilled to show you all some very important baby tortoises. These hatchling tortoises may all look alike but they are in fact very different.
