MOUNTAIN CREEK NATURE TRAIL
3.2 miles full loop / EASY TO MODERATE
This RED blazed loop starts at the Trading Post in the main camping area. You may also start from the picnic area below the dam as I did in this video. It is one of the less strenuous trails, yet it is one of the prettiest as it passes through several plant habitats.
The SW section in this video amounts to 0.8 miles from the cabin to intersection of the Mountain Creek Trail + 1.53 miles of the Mountain Creek Trail to the No Name parking lot + 0.33 miles from the No Name parking lot back to the cabin.
If you wanted to do the entire "Mountain Creek Trail" from the cabin using the connector trail at the picnic area, you would hike 4.8 miles (0.8 + 3.2 + 0.8 miles). There is also a nice 0.8 to 0.9 mile "Delano" loop you can add to the Mountain Creek Trail. It connects at the NE intersection in the campground, near the "Pool Trail" intersection.
