The One That Got Away (sessh/kag)

story line:
Sesshomaru & Kagome first meet when Sesshomaru is trying to get the Tetsusaiga. He is first intrigued when she is the only one able to pull the sword. He dismisses her because she's just a human, even though he thinks about her often. Then once Rin weasels her way into his heart, his views on humans begins to change. He starts to wonder why Kagome is always in the back of his mind. Likewise, Kagome is always thinking about him. She is always rushing back through the well, secretly hoping to see him, but at the same time knowing that a run in with Sesshomaru could end up with Inuyasha injured or worse. He senses her coming back through the well. Sesshomaru, enamored with Kagome, seeks her out. They begin meeting in private when Inuyasha isn't around, which isn't often. They talk, but neither ever admits any feelings. When Kagome goes home, she finds herself worrying about Sesshomaru. Kagome is about to return and Sesshomaru goes to meet her. So does Inuyasha. A fight ensues. To protect Inuyasha, Kagome fires an arrow at Sesshomaru. She misses on purpose. Sesshomaru goes to leave and Kagome asks if there is any way for the brothers to have peace between them. Sesshomaru doesn't respond, just leaves. Later, once again at home, Kagome thinks back to when Sesshomaru saved her life. Her feelings keep becoming more and more tangled concerning the demon lord. She is always fighting against him, saving Inuyasha, but it hurts her every time she fires an arrow at him. Determined to tell him her feelings, she goes back and sets up a barrier around the well. Only Sesshomaru will be able to pass. She waits for him. When Sesshomaru arrives, she tells him that she wants to be with him, but that she wont abandon Inuyasha or stop protecting him. He replies that he wants her also, but that he wouldn't give up trying to get Tetsusaiga. They stop seeing eachother other than when Sesshomaru comes to fight Inuyasha. Kagome is always there to intervene. Finally, Sesshomaru declares that he will no longer come for the Tetsusaiga. He leaves without saying anything else.
Kagome is upset because the only thing keeping them apart was gone now, but Sesshomaru didn't say anything to her. She thinks that he has moved on. When the demon Yura knocks her down the well back to her time, she decides to stay there for a while to heal her heart. She finds that returning to her old life only makes her feel more lonely. She still cant move on from Sesshomaru. Finally she decide to face Sesshomaru and her feelings for him. She hurries back through the well. The months she had been gone, Sesshomaru had been thinking of her night and day. Once back, Kagome sends out a blast of her miko energy, knowing Sesshomaru will feel it. He rushes to her. She feels his youki and runs to meet him. She shoots off an arrow, it works as a beacon for Sesshomaru to find her. Once together, she tells him that she loves him. He tells her that he wants her with him, always.

The End. um they live happily ever after lol duh!
