The Shosenkyo Gorge is just north of central Kofu City in Yamanashi Prefecture, 100 kilometers west of Tokyo.
It takes about 100 minutes from JR Shinjuku Station to JR Kofu station by express train (about 2300 yen in 2018).
Yamanashi Kotsu buses run from JR Kofu Station.
From JR Kofu Station it is about 30 minute ride to Shosenkyo Guchi bus stop (about 600 yen in 2018).
