The M-13 Raptor is a sniper rifle in Mass Effect 3 and Mass Effect: Andromeda.

M-13 Raptor is an interesting solution for those who enjoy using both sniper and assault rifles. One of the most unexpected things about this gun is that is has 15 rounds in this clip and its fire rate is very uncommon as for a sniper rifle. It might not be the deadliest weapon in the game but it is very accurate and again, thanks to 15 rounds in the clip, M-13 Raptor is perfect for taking out enemies from the distance. It is also very accurate at the middle and even at the close range which makes it almost irreplaceable in Mass Effect 3. It is almost impossible to take down a target with one shot but you need to understand that its purposes are slightly different. 15 rounds in the clip plus quick reload time and amazing accuracy make M-13 Raptor universal in almost any possible situation. It’s like a more accurate M-96 Mattock with built-in scope and better damage. Also, it is a perfect choice for Infiltrators thanks to their free and unlimited time slowdown when zooming through the scope. And, its much lower power scope allows switching between the targets faster which, again, makes it a weapon of good choice. M-13 Raptor’s damage is, probably, the only weak place, however, you can improve the situation with the help of Armor Piercing Ammo mod. So far, M-13 Raptor is the most balanced weapon in the game that is worth being added to your arsenal.

The M-13 Raptor can be found during the mission Priority: Sur'Kesh, on a bench before the door of the last checkpoint. It is also purchasable from Batarian State Arms post-mission if it was missed.

The Raptor has very low damage-per-shot for its class. This makes it nearly impossible to get one-shot kills especially at higher difficulties, which is one of the key advantages of many sniper rifles. On the other hand, low damage means that the Raptor can be used against any enemy without being overkill. It is also less punished by the shield-gate mechanic especially on higher difficulties.
Reloading is very quick, even without reload cancelling.
The Raptor has a very fast rate of fire, faster than any sniper rifle except the Indra, however it is semi-automatic and requires rapid manual trigger-pulling to reach maximum firing rate.
The Raptor possesses greater extra clip capacity than most sniper rifles.
With a rate of fire that is largely determined by how fast the trigger can be pulled, the Raptor plays like a lighter and more accurate M-96 Mattock. This is consistent with the weapon's in-game description calling the Raptor an assault rifle/sniper rifle hybrid weapon.
The Raptor has a much lower power scope than other sniper rifles giving it a wider field of view when zoomed. This combined with zero muzzle climb except when fired at its absolute maximum rate can make aiming and in particular landing multiple headshots easier, especially for Infiltrators, who get free and unlimited time slowdown when zooming through the scope, or Soldiers using Adrenaline Rush.
The Raptor is very similar to the M-90 Indra in most categories, with a few differences. The Indra has a faster rate of fire and is fully automatic; it also possesses a larger ammunition reserve. One key advantage of the Raptor is its total lack of muzzle climb except when fired at maximum rate. The Raptor also suffers a substantially lower damage penalty for "hip firing" without the scope than the Indra and other sniper rifles, making it more useful for engagements at close-quarters where zooming is impractical.
When used by squad members, the Raptor is fired in three-round bursts just like the M-29 Incisor. This seems to be squad members' preferred method of shooting rather than a glitch, as they can occasionally be seen firing just one shot to finish off an enemy.
For players who do not have the N7 Collector's Edition Pack, the Raptor is currently the highest theoretical Damage Per Second (DPS) weapon in the game, though this is dependent on how fast the player can press the trigger button. The M-76 Revenant is a somewhat close second for those who struggle with the Raptor.
