What's Under the Workbench? - Discovering my ERTL Thomas & Friends Stash

Just for fun I decided to do a video taking a look under the workbench and seeing what all ERTL Thomas & Friends items I have sitting under here. Between eBay purchases, fan mail unboxings, and just whatever other ERTLs I've thrown under here as of late, I've certainly acquired a horde of them. That being the case, I figured it's time to get under there and take a look at what all I have. Needless to say, there's quite a few surprises as well.

I start off by looking at what tubs contain ERTL items, and find that there's a few of them, including a cardboard box that I had no idea was even under there. The first couple tubs I open up contain played with ERTLs, some which have certainly been knocked around. There and also some ERTLs which are still mint in the packages, and I also find some collector cards with them too. I also discover some of the ERTL miniature playsets which I actually forgot I had. Moving along I find a tub which contains some ERTLs from my mint out of box collection, which I forget why I stashed them under the workbench instead of packing them away.for whatever reason instead of being packed away.

We get into another tub which contains an ERTL Toys catalog from 1998, which I take time to look at the Thomas & Friends section real quick. This tub also contains more mint in box ERTLs, some which are actually from their Theodore Tugboat line. Then there's also some of the ERTL wind up toys, which I was happy to see again. After that we dig into the tub where I keep all my ERTL customs that are still being built, however I've sadly not had the ambition to work on them, and everything here is unfinished. Lastly we dig into the cardboard box, which contains the remainder of the mint in box characters which are in the portrait style packaging.

Before wrapping up the video, I give an updated look at my portrait packaging collection and talk a little bit about it. Overall it was very enjoyable to go through what all I had under the bench in terms of ERTLs, however it's clear that I need to do some sorting and get things put away in their respective places. At some point I would like to get a display cabinet to store some of my ERTLs in so they're much easier to access whenever I need them, plus I won't have to always take the time to wrap and/or pack them up either.
