Crochet the Houndstooth Stitch (a classic stitch for beginners!)

Hello everyone! So, earlier this week, I had a comment on one of my shorts where I was quickly teaching you how to crochet the Houndstooth stitch (you can find it here!    • Crochet the Houndstooth Stitch! 🤍 #crochet...  . It was a lovely comment asking how you change colours for every row. So, I thought I'd just share a full tutorial on how to create the Houndstooth stitch, how and when you need to change colours, and also show you how I like to work with two different yarns at once! It's nice and slow, so if you're a newbie, I hope it helps you!

Now, before we get started, there are just a few notes on the patterns:
1. This crochet tutorial is made using US crochet terms, not UK. If you are unsure about the difference between these two terms, check out my blog post where I explain the differences in detail! https://www.joyasitflies.co.uk/post/c...
2. As I've said in the tutorial, you can use any type of yarn you would like! When you're learning, I would recommend a DK/worsted weight yarn, and then once you have a hang of the pattern, you can go ahead and use whatever you like!
