🧋How many chapters are there? 50 chapters spanning A1 thru B1/B2 vocab and grammar.
🧋How long did it take you to go through it? I initially aimed for 50 chapters in 50 days. 'Twas a longshot 😅 I went through the book in 3 months, completing the first 25 chaps is 30 days, and the remaining 25 chaps in 60+ days.
🧋How much time did you spend studying this per day? I'd say an average of 1.5hrs 3-5 times a week depending? I was consuming no extra French anything besides this book.
🧋What was your background in French prior to this textbook? I have a cumulative total of 2 years learning French. My mom taught me a couple months at age 5, I took 1 year of weekend lessons at age 10 and didn't touch French again until about 12 years later. At age 22 I spent a couple months self-studying and 5 months with a tutor (once a week). This was 3 years ago and I consumed barely any French over that time period.

I think the biggest takeaway for me is to approach language learning with activities I genuinely enjoy (like with this program, I often get carried away with the storyline and forget that I'm 'studying'!). I've always been a big fan good storytelling and for language learning to help me have access to stories and cultures I otherwise wouldn't be able to explore? I'd call that a win-win.
