Jóhanna Guðrún - "ÉG SÉ ÞIG" (BÓ70) - Yohanna

"Ég Sé Þíg" sung by Jóhanna Guðrún, for me the by far best female singer in Iceland, is always a real pleasure to listen to. So also this excerpt from the big concert "BÓ70" in Borgarleikhúsið, Reykjvík on April 16, 2021, which the entertainer Björgvin Halldórsson, who is extremely popular in Iceland, gave on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
Even though the original version was first sung by Björgvin in 2002, this dreamlike song seems to have been tailor-made for Jóhanna Guðrún by Einar Bárðarson. It is and will certainly be one of my many favorite songs by Jóhanna...

By the way, Jóhanna was also one of the guests at the concert on the occasion of Björgvin's 60th birthday on April 16, 2011! You can find the video with the joint duet of the two oustanding artists "Eina sem èg vil" here:

Jóhanna Guðrún and the Gospelkór Jóns Vídalín re-recorded "Ég Sé Þíg" on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of Einar Bárðarson as a lyricist and composer. The result was first published on October 28, 2018 on Einar's Facebook page. At the beginning of 2019 "Ég Sé Þíg" was released as the 12th track of the album "Myndir - Einar Bárðar" from the label Meðbyr on CD and e.g. also on Spotify:
