Original comments: "Some pretty rare video of Al Di Meola fairly early on. "Don Kirshner's Rock Concert" ran from 1973 to 1981, so this is getting near the shows demise. Don announces that this was Al's first appearance on "Rock Concert", so I'm pretty sure it was the only one. Picture quality is fine, but a little grainy, which was very common on analog TV broadcasts from this time frame. God bless my old Betamax for capturing this for posterity, as it doesn't look like the Kirshner vaults will ever open up for an official release of this, or any of the other shows. Enjoy! "
