"Holiday" by fledgling megastar Madonna was initially released as a double-sided single with "Lucky Star" but became the official third single from her self-titled debut album in September 1983. Often considered Madonna's mainstream breakthrough single, it topped the US Dance Chart and reached the Top 10 in countries including Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Belgium, Finland and the Netherlands. Produced by John "Jellybean" Benitez, in 1987 the song received the remix treatment by Jellybean as part of Madonna's "You Can Dance" remix album.
