Kanakadhara Stotram (కానకధారా స్తోత్రం), composed by Adi Shankaracharya, is a powerful prayer dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi for wealth, prosperity, and grace. In this video, Talluri Benaras Babu explains the spiritual significance, essential rules, and correct parayanam (recitation) method of Kanakadhara Stotram in Telugu.
కానకధారా స్తోత్రం విశిష్టత, నియమాలు, పారాయణం చేయాల్సిన విధానం
The stotram describes 21/22 verses extolling the various virtues and blessings of Goddess Lakshmi. Reciting with faith is believed to dispel poverty, attract fortune, and bring peace to the household. For best results, chant the Kanakadhara Stotram during Brahma Muhurta (early morning) or after 8 PM, preferably facing the North-East. Use a pink flower and cloth, offer a lamp and simple sweets as naivedyam, and sit in a clean, peaceful place. Tradition encourages reciting the invocation, Ganapati prayer, dhyana slokam (at the beginning and end), and the main stotram 5, 11, or 21 times. Always chant with clear pronunciation and deep devotion.
Regular parayanam boosts business growth, repays debts, and eliminates negative energies. Performing parayanam on Fridays, full moon days, or during special festivals brings added blessings. Women and families seeking wealth and harmony especially benefit by reciting together as a group.
