Peach and Paul are a Gen X couple from the SF Bay Area who completed the Tour du Mont Blanc in August 2024.
This is Stage 5 of the TMB, from Courmayeur to La Fouly. They took a bus from Courmayeur to Arnuva (Arp Nouvaz), then hiked to Rifugio Elena where they enjoyed a ham and cheese sandwich. Then on to Grand Col Ferret, the highest point of their trek, and the border between Italy and Switzerland. From there, they descended to the Gite Alpage de la Peule for lunch, and finally to La Fouly where they stayed the night at Hotel Edelweiss.
