Joanna Riding took over the role of Eliza in the 2001 National Theater revival of "My Fair Lady" when original Liza, Martine McCutcheon, was unable to continue. McCutcheon still managed to win an Oliiver Award for her Eliza, and so did Riding, for the same role, one year later. The production's first Higgins, Jonathan Pryce, continued in the lead.
