This webinar focused on key findings from chapter 2 on “Migration and migrants: A global overview” of the World Migration Report 2022. Eva Åkerman Börje (Director of the Department of Policy and Research at IOM) provided opening remarks and Dr Marie McAuliffe (Head of IOM's Migration Research and Publications Division) presented the chapter. The webinar also featured two discussants- Prof Ahmet Içduygu (Director of the Migration Research Centre at Koc University) and Diego Iturralde (Chief Director of Demography and Population Statistics at Statistics South Africa). This webinar took place on Wednesday 23 February 2022.
