Learning to Survive in Project Zomboid

When I was 6 years old my father took me out to an empty field near my house and said "now son.... Dig... Dig with your hands! And grow me a harvest worthy of presenting to the gods!" and so I toiled away, scraping at the mud with my finger tips until I was ready to plant some seeds in the holes I had created, but when I reached for my pockets I realised they were empty. I had no seeds to spare. I look up at my father who's face was now little more than a silhouette eclipsed by the setting sun. He muttered "pathetic" and walked off into the sunset, never to be seen again.

17 years later I'm back to heal old wounds and finally do my absent father proud by creating a luscious, V e r d a n t crop field full of succulent crops. Will I succeed? Or will I be eaten by zombies - my remains left to decompose and feed the crops I worked so tirelessly in life to rear?
