We know is that we need to increase biodiversity in the UK and this is part of our Nature 30 x 30 commitment. The introduction of mandatory Biodiversity Net Gain in England has not had an easy ride, but it is currently one of the mechanisms to achieve the necessary outcomes. So how is it working in practice? How could it work better? Is it doing enough towards nature restoration? What does it mean for trees? What is the likely impact of the Planning and Infrastructure Bill once enacted? What are the implications of removing the requirement for small sites under 2.5 acres? Is development seeing an increase in value?
This seminar will explore the issues.
