With the Master Emerald safely returned and Angel Island floating in the sky once more, Sonic and Tails take off for their next big adventure, but are unaware that adventure would take place so soon. Arriving at the nearest island, Sonic quickly discovers a new Death Egg Robot and finds Eggman still in business. Following the battle, the Chaos Emeralds scatter once again, except for the Yellow Emerald that is held by Eggman. Needing to recapture the other Emeralds, Sonic and Tails race across the new island, with a certain sniper hot on their heels...
