Cab POV: Metroline Route 4: Archway Station - Blackfriars Station | Volvo B5LH Gemini 3

Route 4, ran out of Holloway Garage runs between Archway Station… just down the road, to Blackfriars Station just North of the River Thames. It is the singular route on its LOR serving a decent connection between Archway and Tufnell Park, as well as Tufnell Park to Holloway Road. It branches off the A1, running alongside other routes on Seven Sisters Road towards Finsbury Park, through to Higbury Barn then returning to the A1 at Highbury & Islington, passing Islington, Angel, Barbican, St. Pauls and Blackfriars. Familiar areas to HT’s newly acquired Route 153.

This is actually a new appearance on the series, being a B5LH , and generally the vertical view range is quite limited due to the seating position on this bus type as well as the dashboard design. These are fairly quiet at the front as well so unfortunately for the pistonheads, no engine for you 😂. This was indeed the last rounder of the driver’s duty so there wasn’t much time to hang around.
