In this video I go over how to get color separation in Davinci Resolve but I also talk about why you want color separation and when you wouldn't want it. Now of course there are other types of looks where color separation is not always the goal. But when trying to emulate film or get a more filmic look, you are going to want to pay close attention to color separation. At the end of the day you will only be helping your image by trying to get a good amount of color separation in camera and while grading.
