They chose Samois-sur-Seine, where Django spent his final years, to host a modest gathering. What began as a single evening of music soon blossomed into one of the world's most celebrated festivals dedicated to Gypsy Jazz, or Jazz Manouche.

As years passed, the festival moved to the expansive grounds of the Château de Fontainebleau, providing enough space for the growing crowd of aficionados from around the globe. The festival now spans four days, each filled with the rhythm of swing, the soulful melodies of gypsy guitars, and the vibrant energy of improvisation.
