Hi everyone,
I am starting a little long-term project that I have been wanting to start for over 10 years now. When I used to take piano lessons as a kid, I remember we had piano books with music notation, where we can play not only classical music but even pop music or stuff that we listen to on the radio.
Most Eritrean piano players have learned to play by ear. But there are a lot of kids out there who could benefit from playing Eritrean music by reading music notes. So here I am starting my journey to write Eritrean music into notation for people who would like to learn Eritrean music on the piano.
I thought the 80's "Sdetenya" by Elsa Kidane is a great song on a solo piano. I do appreciate any kind of feedback as to how the song sounds, what songs you would like to hear...etc.
