How to Get a Smooth Paint Finish Without Sanding:
Step 1) Use a synthetic bristle paint brush
Step 2) Hold the ferrule like a pencil and dip the bristles in about 1/2 way
Step 3) Apply thin coats and don't go over areas that have already started to dry
Step 4) Paint your piece from the top down so you catch drips as you're going
Step 5) Keep your brush strokes going in one direction to avoid adding texture
Step 6) Let each coat fully dry before starting the next coat
