500 Years Old & Historical Well In Badshah Pur Salt Range Of Chakwal Punjab Pakistan

In this video we will show you the 500 years old and historical well. This well was constructed after trim stones with the help of mud. The depth of this well will approximately 200 feet. The people drank water from this well and they also watering for their animals. The people washed their clothes from this well and also took bath. The strange thing is that the ancient method to use water also implements on this well today and the people of this village also get water from traditional method now. This well is situated in the village Badshah Pur of Kallar Kahar Tehsil Choa Saidan Shah District Chakwal. This is the mountain area and the beautiful village of Badshah Pur is situated between valley. This village is situated on the small hill of salt range while this historical well was constructed outside the village in forest while the population is increasing now around the well. In fact this is 500 years old well and this is golden construction of Sher Shah Suri era. The oxen were used to come out water from this well. But the passages of time people have discovered new methods to come out water from this oldest well. The Rahat which was installed on this well is now broken and the beautiful buckets installed on this well have also eliminated. Now this well has become abandoned and no one is its custodian. But also today the sweet, cold and clean water present in this well which is people use. But this well has prone to wear and tear. This 500 years old well has lost its historical position with every passed day. Now few wells have been left for the time of Sher Shah Suri. If the government show attention on this well than this can make historical asset. Earlier the arrangement of water on GT roads was done through these well where the passengers who passed here not only to drink water but the horses used for travelling also stayed here for rest. These well are losting its historical position due to lack of attention day by day. The mostly well in Pakistan have filled with garbage and there is no proper of cleanliness. If the government give attention on these historical wells than they become best place for local tourism. The people who know about these wells they come here for picnic.
