Eley Ultra Gen 2 Extreme Long Range Tested at Short Range 50 Yards

'Day At The Range' (Mr. Revolver Guy) had a nice video a couple of weeks ago spotlighting Eley Ultra Extreme Long Range. Two rifles, one factory one custom. They both shot decently with the Eley Ultra Extreme Long Range. This is a Gen2 offering. Reportedly involving a switch in powder formulation. Possibly other factors as well.
I thought I would order some lots and see how it shoots in my modified CZ 457 MTR. One lot was a standout from the rest. The rows are labeled by the speed listed on the box, i.e. 54=1054 speed, etc.
After determining best groups lot (1054), I chose a USBR target to shoot the remaining rounds for a little accuracy trial. The group testing is shown results only. The USBR target shows the rounds fired.
It was not great, but it was very good. Five group average at 0.268". While shooting that, a friend came up and shared his chronometer. The speed varied from 1083 fps to 1100 fps (box labeled 1054 fps). We talked that over a bit. My friend indicated the Standard Deviation was good for this lot and worthy of a brick or more.
The CZ 457 MTR is a joy to shoot.
Modifications include, 26" Lilja barrel head spaced for Eley, JARD trigger and Harrel's Precision tuner. The Randolph front rest had an extension placed for 1 piece set up.
