Well, that didn’t take long 😂

It’s only been 2 months since I posted my big Paper Jamz video, which featured every PJ guitar made with the exception of series 3. It’s next to impossible to find any series 3 instruments out there, especially for reasonable prices, which is why I’ve never owned any. This white guitar you’re looking at is probably the most common member of the series, and this particular one has been on eBay for literally YEARS. It was in a lot with a series 2 red skulls guitar, for like $6… plus $170 or something for shipping, which is why it hadn’t sold. I’m not sure why it took me so long to think of it, but I finally reached out to the seller to ask what was up with the shipping. Without even responding, they changed it to like 10 bucks and I bought it immediately 😂.

I suspected a cancellation was in store at first, but sure enough the guitars arrived on March 3rd, albeit in less than perfect shape. They both had pretty much every common PJ issue- they were very dirty and marked up, their battery compartments were corroded, all 4 of their strap holders were broke off, and of course, they both had bad capacitors on their positive power wires. This white one was glitching through the songs before I replaced that capacitor, but I didn’t even realize it at first because I didn’t know any of these songs yet lol.

I’d heard “Who I Am Hates Who I’ve Been” a few times here and there, but ever since I learned this guitar played that song I’ve been intentionally trying to avoid listening to it until I acquired the guitar. I’m very glad I did, because this guitar absolutely BUTCHERS the song with all the awkward cuts it makes, and I would’ve hated it for that 😂. Fortunately, I learned the guitar’s version first so it sounds fine to me 🤣. The way the guitar solo in the beginning is cut and spliced and pieced back together sounds super cool. I don’t want to upset anyone though, the original recording obviously still wins by a landslide, it’s a very good song.

“Friend Like That” became one of my favorite songs for a few solid weeks after I first got this guitar, and that alone got me into listening to Hawk Nelson. That’s the best song on this thing, even if it’s also super chopped up. Lastly we have “Secret Weapon”, another one I’d never heard before, and once again an amazing song. It’s unusual for a Paper Jamz to have 3 bangers in a row, but in my opinion that’s definitely the case here. I also LOVE the design of the guitar itself. By the time series 3 came around, a lot of guitars were starting to look the same, but this is definitely an exception. Overall, it’s probably my second favorite of the series so far. This may be one of the most opinionated descriptions I’ve written lol. I doubt anyone will actually read this far, but if you do, I want to know your thoughts. What are your opinions?
