GCE Kannur central library lift installation, rehearsal test and spot check 19 12 2024

A state of art office elevator is installed in the central library building of Government College of Engineering Kannur. The library committee chairman Dr. Govindan P, and Scientific Information Officer Mr. Biju Varghese reviewed and examined the elevator closely and critically, and is fully operational, perfectly functional from December 19, 2024. It has made a very good impression for the library visitors reflecting professionalism in the design. The central library now has a very speedy and efficient means to navigate all the four floors of the library. The vision, values and principles of the committee has been to develop an 'all-embracing elevating facility' in the central library by facilitating accessibility for individuals with disabilities too. The elevator installation has enhanced the overall impression and value of the central library while ensuring safety, accessibility and inclusiveness for individuals with disabilities.
