This video discusses about solubility of salts and how these salts are prepared by different methods . Solubility is the mixing of solute in the solvent . All ammonium salts , sodium , potasssium and ammonium salts are soluble in water . most chlorides and sulfates are soluble but most carbonates are in soluble .
Salts are being prepared by the reaction of ,
1. Metal with acid .
2. Metal oxide with acid .
3. Metal hydroxide with acid .
4. Metal carbonate with acid .
Soluble metal hydroxides are called alkalis .
The reaction of metal hydroxide with acid is called titration .
Titration involve a burette which contain acid and a conical flask which contain alkali with a suitable indicator . Acid is added in the flask drop wise until end point is reached .
With metal carbonates the CO2 fizzes out .
