Johannes Möller - The Seven Ethereal Maidens from Telaga Tujuh (dedicated to Hong Tee)

The Seven Ethereal Maidens from Telaga Tujuh, composed by Swedish composer cum guitar virtuoso, Johannes Moller, is one of the six commissioned solo guitar works from the project of Tropical Impressions. Johannes was inspired by the myth of the Telaga Tujuh (Seven Wells) Waterfalls in Langkawi Island. The popular belief is that the seven beautiful ethereal maidens would bathe in that seven pools during the night but they would vanish into thin air if any human is getting closer. The main theme features a 7/8 beat cycle reminding the presence of the myth.

The scores has been published in 2022, together with the premier concert held in Kuala Lumpur.
