The picking or the preparation of orders is one of the most important processes in a warehouse or logistics centre. At Interlake Mecalux, we are well aware of this, so we deal with a company’s optimization with our customers’ collaboration from the analysis of these processes.
The picking solutions by Interlake Mecalux are configurable elements that make up areas designed for streamlined order preparation. In these areas, depending on the installation’s requirements, we add elements such as balers, pallet checkpoints, labellers, etc.; all of them properly synchronised.
This video shows an automated solution that may, or may not, be combined with manual preparation areas. Anthropomorphic automation allows the preparation of three orders simultaneously. A combined vacuum/pressure system ensures the perfect grip on the load unit layers, allowing the manipulation of up to 150 layers/hour, or an equivalent of more than 1,000 boxes/hour.
