Alone in the Dark - First Playthrough (as Edward)

A fun adventure. Definitely scratched that itch I had for a detective/mystery-type game that The Last Case of John Morley did not provide.
Still a few flaws/bugs here and there. There were often items you could see but could not pick up, for example.
The ability to press [Tab] to see all interactable items felt weird. Camera zoomed in way too much, and having to pan around the room like that felt unpleasant. If pressing a single button can reveal all interactable points, why not just let us see them in the first place, and take out the extra keybind?
The brick/molotov throwable system during combat also felt awkward. You had to hold a button to carry said throwable, and you could not run while doing so. I'm not sure what the devs were intending with this design, or what concerns they had. If there isn't a compelling reason, maybe having the brick/molotov as a weapon option is better?
[Spoiler] In my first playthrough as Edward, Emily did not seem to understand what Edward was going through, and he direly wanted her to see what he was seeing (e.g., when they both broke into Dr. Gray's apartment). Thus, I expected Emily's investigation to be NOT about the dream world, and this got me excited about a second playthrough. (I read online that the devs suggest playing this game twice.) However, both characters' playthroughs are essentially the same experience, with only slight differences in encounters/conversations. This was disappointing. I would have wanted the two characters to provide their own unique perspectives, but within the same timeline (i.e., Why pay 2 actors when the game really only has 1 version?).
I tried a bit of NG+. It's just more enemy count (which I'd run past anyway), so I didn't deem it worth a third playthrough.
