A NSW boy travelling Aus hikes the Stirling Range Ridge Walk in Western Australia. I spent 2 days hiking the Ridge and camped in the most spectacular cave. This video is slow and raw. It was my first and only time in the Stirling Ranges and I was blown away with the landscape. It's a very pretty area. I had my DJI action camera in my hand most of the way and rather than showing all the highlights. I try and show most sections of the hike. This video could be handy if you're thinking of doing the hike for your first time. You get to see my reactions, me getting slightly off track, some brilliant scenery, and my ugly mug a whole heap.
My verdict, It was amazing and I highly recommend. There was only 1 section which was a little sketchy. Not too bad though. The rest of the hike, while it was super steep and tough, I never felt like I was going to fall. If the track looks dangerous, you have probably gone the wrong way and you should check your position. This was probably my favourite hike I've done. Put it on your bucket list.
I had my garmin GPS in my backpack but I didn't use it. I just used my phone for navigation using the Mapout app on Apple.
I also had good Telstra phone reception the whole route.
Lastly, I used 6.5 litres of water on a cool wet 2 days. If it was hot, you would absolutely need more. Its tough out there.
