How to Play Senet 𓊃𓈖𓏏𓏠

This is my personal creation of an Ancient Egyptian 𓂋𓐝𓎀𓀂𓀭𓏪 “rmT” Senet 𓊃𓈖𓏏𓏠 “sn.t” board game.𓏤

The word senet means "passing" 𓄫𓅱𓅱 “Aww” and the game was seen as a parallel to the journey into the afterlife and the obstacles one had to overcome on the way.𓏤

The rules of the game are unknown, so scholars can only guess. You will find many versions of the game, but the core gameplay is the same.𓏤

The four symbols are:
1. wAs ankh (power life house) - Row 2, center tile
2. neferu (beauty house) - Row 3, from left.
3. mu (water house)
4. baku (spirit house)
5. iy (house of the twins)

The design is based on the board game discovered in the royal tomb of Tutankhamen 𓇋𓏠𓈖𓏏𓅱𓏏𓋹𓋾𓉺𓇑) “twt-ankh-imn~hekA-iwnw-šmAi)” ‘The Living Image of Amun, Ruler of Southern Iwnw (Heliopolis)’.𓏤

The board game is entirely fabricated out of wood, stained and veneered. The grid was created out of door molding. The feline legs were carved by hand.𓏤

The gold 𓋞 “nbw” painted leaf was penciled in. The hieroglyphs 𓌃𓂧𓅱𓀁𓊹 “mdw-ntr” (divine writing) text is grammatically accurate and describes my personality and accomplishments.𓏤
