Time-trialling is dominated by aerodynamics. The pros spend hours testing different positions to reduce their drag by as much as possible while keeping their power output at its optimum. There is no one size fits all approach to aerodynamics however, with top top time-trial pros like Remco Evenepoel, Tony Martin, and Filippo Ganna having different philosophies when it comes to the position that’s best for them.
