From Season 3 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 2: The Great Cat Family which aired on September 19th, 1956. Opinions about cats are often divided. Some people love them, some hate them. Many people just fear them, for cats have gained a reputation that makes superstitious people reluctant to cross their paths. This look at the history of cats begins with the story of their ancestors in Egypt over 4,000 years ago. A full color version of the segment before Alice in Wonderland is available as a bonus feature on the Gold Collection Aristocats DVD release. Edited due to copyright are clips from the theatrical films, Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella and Pinocchio. The short, Lambert the Sheepish Lion, which is edited out, is available on Disney+, several DVD releases and most notably, the Walt Disney Treasures DVD Tin: Disney Rarities.
