Reckless Camaro SS Driver Taunts Police! Putting INNOCENT People Lives At Risk

On June 24th, 2023, at approximately 2348 hours, police Trooper A. Mathews was traveling north on the I-75/I-85 connector near 14th street when I observed a black Chevrolet Camaro bearing Florida tag DKG9158 pass my marked patrol vehicle in excess of the posted 55 mile per hour speed limit. After passing my patrol vehicle I observed the Camaro make several improper/erratic lane changes from the far-left hand lane over to the far-right hand lane while failing to maintain its lane of travel and following too close to other vehicle.

I activated my emergency equipment to conduct a traffic stop and the vehicle immediately accelerated, initiating a vehicle pursuit. The vehicle pursuit continued north on the Connector merging onto Interstate 85. On Interstate 85 just north of the Interstate 75 north split, the Camaro attempted to pass between two other vehicle, striking both and losing control. The Camaro traveled left across Interstate 85 to final rest against the concrete median wall.

I exited my patrol vehicle and conducted a felony stop. With the assistance of an off-duty Fulton County Sheriff's Office deputy, I was able to secure both the driver and passenger in handcuffs. During the felony stop, the driver was uncooperative at times and displayed a difficult time following commands. When instructed to stand up and walk back to me, he staggered, and sat on the concrete median wall and attempted to conceal a small bag of suspected Marijuana by dropping it off the side. The driver was identified as A'veon Summers
