DIY PEUGEOT 205 GTI SPARE WHEEL CAGE REFURBISHMENT

In this video, I'm diving into the spare wheel setup on my Peugeot 205. The 205 runs 1.9 wheels, but I'm getting the original 1.6 14" wheels refurbished. I plan to use one as the spare, aiming to keep the car as original as possible. The spare wheel is stored in a cage under the car, which I'm taking down for a clean-up.

I show how to access the spare wheel and the tools needed. There's a bit about the importance of the cage size matching the wheel size, as my car has a specific cage for the 1.6 wheels, and it's different for the 1.9s.

A good chunk of the video is me tackling the rust on the spare wheel cage. I remove the rust, apply a rust remover, and repaint the cage in black, overall it looks better with the car.

I also touch on other maintenance topics like the rear beam, shock absorbers, and exhaust, noting improvements and future plans.
