It was a promising morning for Ser Reggie of Tarvent. Being landless and almost penniless, he finally saw a bright glimpse of the rich life in the dunghill that is called his life. A knight by chance, a warrior by necessity, that’s all that could be said about him. A charming smile, albeit marred by rotting teeth, shone as he looked at the modest piece of paper promising a reward to anyone who could defeat the Beast of Bloomhill. Miraculously not burned by his garlicky amber from his mouth, the piece of paper said that, at the behest of Burgimister Bloomhill, an order had been placed on the head of a certain Monster, who, due to his devilish nature, got into the habit of stealing the cattle of honest peasants, His Excellency the Count of Maontre de Daron, the ruler of Plervin, Almoren and The free cities (apparently not so free) of Radysh, Woodcole and Bloomhill. The monster is hiding in Kryukov Bor, which is located to the east (note: where the sun rises from Bloomhill). The honorable man who brings his head will be given a reward of 345 orliks, which, after deducting the Royal Tax of His Majesty Manche of Neverlin, the County Tax of His Excellency mentioned above and the City Tax of the City of Bloomhill, will be 280 orliks.
Having read this for the tenth time, Ser Reggie put the order into a leather belt bag the color of childish surprise and, taking his rusty two-handed ax, headed east, muttering under his breath that the sun was rising there...Happy listening!
